Looking back on my journey through real estate, I can hardly believe it’s been 38 years. Thirty-eight years of navigating the highs, the lows, and the countless changes that have shaped not only my career but my life. When I started, I was green, eager, and maybe a bit naïve, armed with a belief that hard work alone could crack the industry’s secret code. But as I would soon discover, the real estate world is far more complex and layered than I ever imagined.
In those early days, I faced rejection more often than I could have counted. But each “no” taught me something new, some little gem of insight that would ultimately add up. I learned how to build relationships, not just close deals. I learned that my clients weren’t just numbers, they were people making some of the biggest decisions of their lives. And when I learned to treat them that way, everything changed. People trusted me. My reputation grew. Success didn’t just trickle in – it poured.
Over the years, I encountered every type of client, every type of challenge. From tough markets to economic downturns, I was tested. But with each test, I found new ways to adapt, grow, and come out stronger. I thrived on this journey – the thrill of the sale, the satisfaction of guiding people to their dream homes, and the pride in building a business from scratch. I loved every minute. But then, somewhere along the way, I felt a new calling.
After decades in the field, I noticed a pattern. Agents – even the seasoned ones – would hit these walls. Some struggled with confidence, others with consistency. Many were simply lost in the chaos of modern real estate, trying to balance personal life with endless demands. They knew *how* to sell but struggled with *how* to stay grounded, motivated, and balanced.
That’s when it hit me: I had the experience, the know-how, and, more importantly, the drive to help them. I’d been there – I’d faced their challenges, and I had come out on the other side. I knew I could offer more than just tactics and strategies. I could offer understanding, mentorship, and the tools to create a thriving business without burning out.
So, I became a coach. Today, I work with agents who are as ambitious and passionate as I was – those who’ve hit roadblocks and need more than just advice on the next sale. My mission is to empower them to be more resilient, more focused, and ultimately more successful.
As I transition from veteran agent to empowerment coach, I’m excited to help others find their own path, just as I did. It’s not just about making a living; it’s about creating a life ( built by design) that feels whole, fulfilling, and grounded in real success. And I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us.
